Gameweek 18 - Snow Plays Spoilsport
Hey there!
Bad luck for the Fantasy Premier League Managers out there. Only 3 games to be played this week and keeping my fingers crossed for the Manchester City - Everton match. If there are any managers out there who have made more than one transfers this week, they might be banging their heads on the wall. My total this week - 12 and that too made an extra tranfer - Van der vaart :( sheesh! Next time I won't be making any extra transfers during winter!

Gameweek 18 Fantasy Pick
Hey there!
I see Liverpool seeing much more action at Anfield in their next six fixtures. Home games against Fulham, Wolves, Bolton and Everton seem like point collectors considering their current home form - 4 in 4. The away games against Blackburn and Blackpool are not too bad considering Blackburn's current state of events and Blackpool being a goal scoring fixture.
Reina - GK
Sotirios Kyrgiakos/Glen Johnson - Defender
Kuyt/Gerrard - Midfielder [Don't expect Gerrard to produce this week]
Fernando Torres - Striker
Sunderland too have 4 home fixtures - Bolton, Blackpool, Blackburn and Newcastle. Since they have been defensively strong you can expect a lot of Fantasy League Managers roping in the likes of Nedum Onuoha and Phil Bardsley as they have attacking intent too!
Mignolet - GK
Onuoha/Bardsley - Defender
Welbeck/Bent/Gyan - Striker
Blackburn have 2 home games in GW 18 and 19. In GW 20 they play away to West Brom. I cannot be sure if they would follow the same defensive tactics of Big Sam. But one thing I can be sure of is Morten Gamst Pederson's involvement as he in good form. Samba can be a good attacking option at the defense.
Samba - Defender
MGP - Midfielder
Here is my pick for GW 18:
GK - Hart [Robinson/Mignolet]
Def - Onouha, Kyrgiakos, Samba [Ridgewell/Carr, Foley]
Mid - MGP, Nasri(C), N'Zogbia, Lampard/Gerrard [Nani]
St - Torres, Welbeck, Gyan
NOTE: Would have taken Tevez but considering the events that have unfolded, I decided to hold him back for another 2 weeks.
Tell me what you think.
